What do you Think,The Open-And-Shut Case Of Muvbox

Along the shores of the Old Port of Montreal, at the Quai des cluses, a bright red container restaurant, known as Resto Muxbox, serves up the local seafood delicacies, lobster rolls and clam chowder.
The fully mobile, self-contained, solar-powered eatery has become a favourite among locals and visitors alike since first opening shop (literally) in the spring of 2009.
In less than 90 seconds, the Muvbox container opens up and transforms an empty space into a pop-up restaurant. This video shows the Muvbox in motion.

The whole container can be easily transported by road, rail or sea and its ingenious design counters the age-old dilemma of building permits you can simply drop it anywhere, anytime.
In the spirit of environmental sustainability, the eatery relies on recyclable and sustainable materials, solar power, local products and eco-friendly efficiencies.
In the future, the designer plans to build turnkey units that will operate entirely off the grid.

In 2017, the Lobster Box was recognized at the Intrieurs FERDIE Awards for its unique signage, environmental branding and multidisciplinary approach.
The following year Muvbox took out gold in the Interior Design Temporary Category at Canadas National Design Exchange Awards.
